The free-to-play action RPG from Grinding Gears has been landing on Xbox One for about 2 months since last year. With a heavy focus on character customization, Path Of Exile features a skill tree with over 1,000 skills to learn, and additional modifier gems to really make your character your own.

There are seven character types, Templar, Marauder, Ranger, Witch, Shadow, Duelist, and Scion.

When you create your character you will have to pick a class, although the entire skill tree is open to all seven classes. The classes defer specialisms rather than tying the player to a distinct grouping of abilities, so if you want to create a dual-wielding wizardy sort, it should be possible. The character selection screen is the first big clue that Grinding Gear aren’t so much trying to turn their backs on the Diablo comparisons as flaunting them.
