Overstock.com was originally found in the year 1997 by Robert Brazell by the name of D2: Discounts direct. Overstock.com, Inc. is an internet retailer company based in America, with its headquarters in Midvale, Utah, near Salt Lake City. Two years after the incorporation of the company, it was sold to Patrick M.Byrne, who decided to change the name from D2: Direct Discount to Overstock.com. the company initially dealt exclusively in the surplus and returned merchandise.
