Is it possible to recondition a car battery? - Yes they can be, but only by professionals. Do NOT try to open or mess with your battery. The acid inside can and will eat right through your hands. Look in the phone book or on the web for battery recyclers near you. They will be able to sell you a reconditioned battery.
